Quote Display - Free CGI and Perl Scripts

These free CGI and Perl scripts allow you to display random quotes on your website. They can of course be used for any type of information, not just quotes (jokes, verses etc).

WebHints

WebHints is a script that allows you to easily set up and maintain a "Hint (Quote/Tip/Joke/Whatever) of the Day" page. Addition of new entries is simple, and the script automatically "turns over" the display the first time it is referenced each day. Old entries are kept on file and may be searched and displayed, as well.

Quotesie - Free Random Quote Script

Quotesie enables you to set up random quotes or sayings to be displayed on your site. If you can use SSI (server-side includes) on your site, then Quotesie will work with them. If you can't, Quotsie also supports using Javascript to display the random quotes. The admin interface allows you to add, edit, or delete any of the quotes.
