Interactive StoryThis script is for an interactive story, written by its readers. As people read the story, each page tells a part of the story. Each page ends with two choices for what to do next. Users click on one of the two links to read what happens next in the story. It works like the "choose your own adventure" books that were popular when I was a child. When people reach the end of the part that is already written, they can enter the next page of the story. You can configure it to send you e-mail when a new chapter is added.Category: Interactive Stories Personal Open DirectoryThe Personal Open Directory script calls the Open Directory Project to provide you and your users with a web experience which looks like they've never left your site. It works by grabbing the data in real-time from the ODP.Category: Open Directory Project OpenJournalOpen Journal allows you to keep an online journal (blog) and configure it largely anyway you'd like it to look. It's very simple to operate and requires no maintenance. It is a completely web-based interface. Features include: automated file creation; automated index updating; editing of all files through a Web-based interface; entries with or without titles and time posted; automated archiving based on a weekly or monthly format. All done through ordinary text files and no additional perl modules needed to run it.Category: Web Blogs WebLogWebLog is a comprehensive access log analysis tool. It enables you to keep track of activity on your site by month, week, day and hour, to monitor total hits, bytes transferred and page views, and to keep track of your most visited pages. It can also print out reports to track "user sessions," showing the paths taken through your site by your visitors and giving you a rough idea of how long they spent looking at your pages, and to provide you with information on referring sites, the search engine keywords which brought your visitors and the agents and platforms they used while visiting. It can read NCSA common or combined log files, as well as Microsoft extended format log files.Category: Web Traffic Analysis WebBBS - Web-based Bulletin Board.WebBBS is a Web-based bulletin board. Unlike most other such boards, though, WebBBS stores messages as simple text files and creates HTML pages "on the fly." This means that the message index can be tailored by the user based on date and/or subject (via built-in keyword search capability), and can be viewed as threaded, chronological or "guestbook-style" lists. A wide variety of options are available both to the administrator and to the users, and "behind-the scenes" administrative tasks (editing and deleting of messages, etc.) are a breeze! WebBBS supports automatic quoting of message text and e-mail notification of those who want to know immediately when a new message has been posted. It also offers an archive-only option, the ability to run moderated boards, and "cookie" support!Category: Message Boards WebAdvertsWebAdverts is a comprehensive system for maintaining a set of rotating banner ads on your website or for setting up a "banner exchange" between your site and others. Banners can be displayed on your pages via JavaScript, IFRAME, IMG or SSI tags. (Banners may also easily be included on CGI-generated pages.) Multiple "zones" can be established, allowing certain banners to appear only on certain pages. It keeps track of exposures and click-thrus for each banner, as well as of the average total number of exposures per day. Individual passwords allow each of your advertisers to view their own advert stats (overall and daily) without viewing anyone else's. Banners can be "weighted" to control how often they are displayed, and can automatically be expired from the rotation after a designated number of exposures, click-thrus or days.Category: Ad Management WebCalWebCal is a script that allows you to create and maintain an interactive events calendar or scheduling system on your website. It can create calendars for any desired month from 1601 to 2899 A.D.; events to be displayed are stored in an easily-maintained data file. The data file can include singular, weekly, monthly and annual events, and those events can be linked to outside URLs for additional information. Calendars can be viewed in several different table grid formats or as simple text listings.Category: Calendars FrameCalFrameCal allows you to maintain multiple calendars using one perl script. Access restrictions can be implemented, and a multitude of formatting options are available to customize the look of the calendar to your individual sites.Category: Calendars Redirect and Link CounterThis script is for those of you that want to know who is leaving your site via your links page and where they are going. A simple program that thanks the user for visiting your page, logs which site the user has gone to, and sends them off.Category: Redirection Multi-Cart For Unix or NTThis is a Single or Multi-User generic program for taking orders on-line. The customers order and information is then emailed to you. Three scripts are placed on the secure server at your ISP and those three scripts will process the data for all the users on your system. The shopping cart can be used by multiple sites simultaneously, making this perfect for ISP's to install and offer as a service to their customers.Category: E-Commerce Pay Pal Shopping CartThis shopping cart is intended for webmasters and advanced users to aid in putting together small to medium online stores. All of the PayPal shopping cart pages must be made using your favorite HTML page designer such as Front Page or Dreamweaver. The PayPal Code Wizard will generate the javascript code for each item in your cart making it simple and easy with less likelyhood of making errors.Category: E-Commerce MailFormMailForm will handle any form. The script works with Unix type systems using SendMail, or Windows servers using an SMTP server. If your server does not have SendMail, then there is a workaround to use an SMTP server instead. MailForm will send mail to you from any form you design. The form may be designed any way you like, with any combination of field types. There are a few tags that must be present on your form for the program to send mail to you.Note:- you need to give an Email address to download the script. Category: Form Processors WHOIS2.CGI - Domain Name LookupWith this script you can offer an Internic Domain Name Lookup on your site. It has built-in safeguards to prevent outside hacking attempts and runaway processes from happening. This script is written in PERL5 for Unix servers.Category: Networking Tools BIRDTRAP.CGI - Error Handler for ApacheBIRDTRAP.CGI is a very simple script to use in conjunction with your APACHE server to both redirect readers that encounter errors such as script problems and missing pages, and to notify you that the error occurred by means of a log file or e-mail or both. This can make maintaining your site a much more pleasant task. In fact, if you make your error pages entertaining enough, people will enjoy running into problems. Along with this script you will find a collection of GIF image files, one for each error code. The script is designed for unix servers. It will also run on Apache for Windows, but the e-mail notification feature will not work.Category: Error Handling Page 1 | Page 2 | Page 3 | Page 4 | Page 5
