SimpleDir is a simple script requiring access to PHP and MySQL. It's intended use is for a small directory with categories. A MySQL database is used to store the configuration options, the links, and the categories.

LinkMan

PHP link manager will completely automate your reciprocal links exchange. If a webmaster is interested in exchanging links with your site he first adds a link to your website on his links page (or any other page on his website). He submits the "Add a link" form on your site. LinkMan checks if a reciprocal link to your site has really been placed, and if everything is ok a new link appears on your links page. It's that simple. In the LinkMan admin panel you have a special tool, that will crawl all URLs where your reciprocal link should be - if the reciprocal link isn't found it will automatically remove link to that site from your links page. LinkMan doesn't need a SQL database to operate, it works with simple text files. You can also easily edit header and footer of the links page so it will completely fit into the rest of your website.
