Every website should have a site map to help visitors and search engine crawlers find their way around the site. Here are some free site map scripts that you can use on your website.

ListFiles.php

Simply place this script in a directory and go to it. It will then show you a hyperlink to all files in that directory. You can search for file names, and you can click a button to make it show only images.

maphp

maphp is a script for recursive file listing. It outputs HTML lists with links to every file and directory in the specified path. You can use filters on maphp to hide the files and directories you don't want to be shown on the map list.

Sitemap

This script generates a tree view of all directories and web documents of your server. It recursively reads all subdirectories and determines automatically whether it was placed in the main directory of the server or in a subdirectory. You can easily customize the script by replacing the icons for files, folders and server with your own ones.

TotalIndex

TotalIndex is designed to replace the simple, and boring default index page of a site which lists the files in an indexed folder. This script produces a stylish and organized view of the files and folders in an indexed directory. Any folder on your site (including subfolders) can easily be indexed simply by copying a single file to the highest level folder. This script comes with many icons for different file types as well as the ability to easily let the admin add custom icons and file type extensions to the system. TotalIndex comes with many preconfigured style themes to choose from. The script can be installed anywhere on your server and doesn't require the use of a database.
