Here is a free remotely hosted shopping cart service from Mal's e-commerce. It is ideal if you want to sell items from your web site and you need a shopping cart service.

Just add a simple "Buy Now" button to your product pages and your customers will be able fill out an order while they browse your website. You can configure the shopping cart to collect card data and save it for processing later or link directly to a number of big name payment processors.

It offers all the features you need to start selling goods and services from your website including calculating tax, shipping and handling your discounts and vouchers. Included with it is their free mTracker affiliate program to help you promote your site.

Premium is an upgrade which adds features which are designed primarily for busy merchants, for example: automated card processing batch download of orders, direct access to UPS and USPS rates calculators plus a little bit more influence over the look of the cart. You can switch the status of your account between free and Premium any time you wish and without making any changes to your website.

Your shopping cart is completely advertisement free apart from a small logo which is shown in the footer of every page in the cart.

How The Shopping Cart Service Works

All you have to do is add simple "Buy Now" links or buttons on any page on your website. These can be made from a form button, a text hyperlink or your own image:

When a customer clicks on one of these links they are shown a page showing their current shopping cart with that item added. They can choose to change any of the quantities, delete items or move on to the payments section. Credit card and check details are collected using an SSL secured server.

Once a customer completes an order you will be notified immediately by e-mail. The e-mail contains what they ordered, but to collect the payment details you will need to login Admin unless you are using mOrders, their dedicated order manager.

Payment Processing Options

The free account saves credit card data (encrypted) for you to pick up from Admin and process how you like. It also supports card payments by: Paypal, Nochex - United Kingdom, Paymate - Australia.

Who can use the service?

Anyone with a computer and an Internet connection who has something to sell online can use this remotely hosted service. Individuals, clubs, schools, charities and small businesses are amongst the users. However, note that they do not accept anyone who sells adult or racist material, advocates violence or engages in any activities involving spam email.

Is there a restriction on the number of products in my store?

Since they don't host your product pages and the shopping cart doesn't use a product database there are no restrictions on the number of products that you can have.

The only restriction you might find is if you are selling goods which are downloaded on the internet, for example software or .mp3 music files. The limits in the download system are 50 products for a free account.

Are my customers sent a confirmation email?

The shopping cart can be configured to send the customer a receipt at the time the order is placed. This receipt is free from adverts and can be customized to include your own personalized message.
